MoonValley invited me to help produce the release video for Marey — their first studio-grade, frame-perfect AI video tool, trained exclusively on licensed data. The goal was to express a new sense of control in a chaotic creative landscape.
We needed to communicate the importance of creative intention. This era is no longer about how you got there, but what was the idea. Can you visualize the intent? Choreograph the motion curves in your mind? Then this is the product for you. Working alongside the otherworldly creatives at Asteria Film allowed us to explode processes and push ideas far outside of the boundaries into entirely new conceptual terrain.
The motion starts in the mind. Everything else is just a rendering.
We left perfection at the door. Spending hours, days, weeks refining resolutions and having technicalities hamstring ideas — that’s all over now.
Render grain, texture, and grit were accepted directly into the look rather than polishing it away.
Procedural sine waves, tunnel generators, geometric wave fields — we vibe-coded the tools we needed around the idea. Finally. After 20 years of doing it the other way around.
Finding control and humanity in the era of AI is the challenge. Marey gave us a way to do both.
